"Climate protection is a serious issue to the ITDZ. Therefore, we gladly face the challenge towards our environment. Our most important objective is to consequently reduce natural ressources as well as accuring costs. "Our collaboration comes to fruition: The Berliner Energieagentur has implemented the concepts that we provided them during the last months. More and more CHPs provide power and heat to estates all over the city of Berlin - as in our "energy saving building" at Puchanstraße in the district of Köpenick. This service is beneficial for tentants and self users: Incidental expenses decrease while at the same time one cares for the environment. Decentralizing combined heat and power in residental buildings, business units and industrial facilities isn't only economically meaningful but also ecologically important. With this already in mind, we are planning the buildings for our clients on a climate and evironmentally friendly basis."

"Right after our foundation in 2000 we were confronted with the question of which was the best remedial design to choose in terms of energy and heat provision. We were eager to cut emmissions of our approx. 500 apartments as far down as possible as well as to significantly reduce our costs for power and heat provision. After thoroughly considering various concepts we decided on an operator model on the one hand and on conbined heat and power facilities as a technology on the other hand. We cannot realize modernization with no consequences for the rents in all our buildings. "In the 1990s Berlin has already tried to square the circle by launching the energy saving partnership: to restore public buildings under the premise of energy efficiency without spending money as a federal state of Germany and instead even saving money - this was and still is a pathbreaking model.

The energy costs of the city hall has already been bisected. Since 2010 we are energy providers. We have photovoltaik modules providing power to Berlin households."
